WPM AngleBar™ Systems provide the capability to slit any web, invert ribbons, stack, reposition and interleave ribbons in either a 90° or straight out configuration. Our AngleBar Systems are custom made to fit the specific application, from simple ribbon or web shifting to complete AngleBar and Outfeed sections for multiple ribbon manufacturing. WPM AngleBars arrangements are manufactured using large diameter armoloy coated angle bars, hardened driven rollers with large pneumatic nip trolleys, black anodized low inertia web lead rollers and equipped with either driven shear or crush type slitters. All Outfeed sections come complete with motorized full page linear compensators and driven draw rolls.

The RibbonShifter™ series incorporates many of the basic features of full AngleBar systems, however the shifting is more specific and dedicated. These systems are very useful in compact lines and lines that are product specific.

The use of WPM AngleBar Systems can help increase overall productivity, providing the ability to run simple jobs stacked and delivered as a single stream, or help to create new imaginative product designs.

Standard Features

  • Air loaded trolleys and slitters with independent adjustment of pressure and position.
  • All motorized functions will be located at the Angle Bar Deck.
  • Hardened driven infeed roller per web.
  • Includes full ribbon inverting capability at all levels, including inverting capabilities for the full webs.
  • Large diameter armoloy plated angle bars.
  • Outfeed rollers are equipped with air loaded trolleys.
  • Outfeed rollers are hardened and sized to achieve the proper gain for positive control of ribbon tension.
  • Pre-piped PVC headers on both sides of the Angle Bar Deck complete with, shut off valves; quick disconnect air lines and hose connections to angle bars.
  • Separate Outfeed section with driven outfeed rollers and motorized full page linear compensators for each ribbon.
  • Slitter assemblies complete with on-the-run sidelay adjustment for precise positioning.
