The WPM RotaCutter 2000™ is the foundation of the Company’s rotary web cutters! Designed specifically for the paper market with more than 150 installations worldwide, the RotaCutter 2000™ is built on the same platform as the highly successful multiple knife cutters used for the inline and offline finishing business in the Graphic Arts market.

Operated as a cutoff and delivery unit at the end of a web press, inline to a converting process or as an offline system, the RotaCutter 2000™ multiple knife cutter, utilizes the exclusive WPM TruCut®, TruLock® and AdvantEdge® knife and die system, and WPM MicroTouch™ impression controls, to cut the web into individual pieces, remove trim scrap and deliver the finished products in shingled streams on a conveyor belt. Cutting or perforating can be straight or contour shaped in virtually any design or pattern.

  • Computerized knife positioning utilizing a PLC touch-screen control with integrated WPM KnifeLocator™ software.

  • On-the-run MicroTouch™ knife adjustment for precise (.0001”) control of knife wear.
  • Ultra high speed knife location utilizing an Indramat high resolution servo.
  • Variable driven infeed roller with independently driven upper nips to control web/ribbon tension.
